Soooo, working on a Zwackery. I have a joystick here that seems to have a base that is the correct size, and it has the correct bend forward. I have a handle top that appears correct. But they don't seem to fit together. The screw holes on the handle are far apart, the screw holes on the shaft are close. The shaft is too wide, I can't get the handle to go around it. My question is, was there a game that midway made that had the same type of base, but a different top?

This photo shows the handle next to the shaft. The holes are not even close

This joystick was purchased as a compete unit, but was packed in two separate boxes (one for the shaft and base and one for the top, no hardware to connect was included

If I remember correctly I think DOT was in fact the one with a slightly bent forward shaft and I can attest that there are a number of different shift diameters and spacing for things I had assumed were the same.

At least the Bally/Midway ones seemed different from the Atari/Happ ones that I have stumbled onto anyway.

Thanks. Wish I could figure out exactly what base this was. I really need a working joystick and this one is unuseable as is.

When I get home from work I can try to dig up my stick pile and measure the various gaps between screws and you can compare.
Not sure if I have any spare grip sets left though.
