All right, I admit I was wrong about this game. Played the shit out of it last night on my Taito multi and I must say I get it now. This game is totally addictive. I'm "stuck" right around 200,000 and find myself dying getting too greedy on the "bonus" levels. Any pointers?

Just get through the bonus levels quickly. Letting the animals loose and getting them to run the same direction is the key. Then you get to be "greedy" trying big jumps. There some vids on Youtube that show great gameplay. Very fun and very addicting. - Barry

Okay, it is obvious to me that I haven't a clue on how to get them "grouped" properly on the regular levels then because I'm currently getting most of my points on the bonus levels. I'll have to search for some video.

ZK is meant to be played opposite of the rules if you want big points. The best pointer I can give you is that the animals will always leave the square in the opposite direction you are looking. Practice getting them going in the same direction for big point jumps.

BTW - I am in no way an expert so take that FWIW.

My HS is a measly 1.9M.

Your name was all over the high score board on the CAX Zookeeper, so I think you do pretty well.

But you didn't get 8,000 on Berzerk, did you?

This is an incredibly helpful piece of information I did not know. Thank you. What is the highest point total you have gotten on a single jump? I think mine is a measly 32,000. :(

Measly?!? That seems pretty good!

1.9M is nothing. The good players are 5M+. Record is around 38M I think?

Damn. I thought your "Yay, let's run in circles and hit jump" view was much funnier.

He was mislead.

That Berzerk stick was broken.

Ive gotten a 1M point jump twice. Thats why 1.9M isnt that great of a score ;)

Practice is right. I've watched Steve's videos many, many times and cant do what he does, ha.

Practice is key. Certain games I can spend a lot of time away from and be ok to get right back on it scoring as previous, ZK I have to be playing it often to stay sharp.

My high score is around 11m and my best jump is a 2m.

Ive noticed my first game of the day/night on ZK is always my best. Weird.

11M is freaking impressive. Nice work, mang.

Thanks. There are a bunch of games I want to get back into playing more again like ZK, Crazy Climber, etc but I've been spending my gaming time getting in shape on some of the tournament games for the contest at Richie's in a few weeks.

Yeah, I go in waves.

Ive been playing the shit out of Paperboy lately. Im obsessed with breaking that 130K mark, ha.

You'll get it soon. I was hoping someone would put Paperboy in the contest to give me an excuse to get back into it but alas, no dice.

It has nothing to do with which way Zeke is looking. The animals go in the opposite direction of the half of the rectangle that Zeke is on.

ZK games tend to be very inconsistent. You can have a terrible game followed by a great game, but you have to play often to keep your timing (especially for the 4th escalator bonus levels).

Wait, what? Isn't that what I said?
