Zookeeper project on Ebay

That's what mine said when I got it. I'd bet it just needs the battery replaced and it will come up, a little spendy though. - Barry

Hopefully whoever gets that decides to fix it rather than gut it/jamma it and multi it. I'm currently running the multi in mine, but it got the jamma treatment back when Double Dragon II came out.

I think you'd have to be spectacularly dumb to pay $1,100+ for any machine that you were just going to gut.

There's one bid on it right now, and whoever placed it definitely wants a Zookeeper!

Wow. This makes me want to buy insurance for my ZK! lol

I notice that it comes with a "working Taito multigame pcb", but I wonder if the monitor syncs up with it if you just swap it in...

It does, it does not fill the whole screen width though-it is about an inch & a half short on both sides.

ZK is the best Taito game, but wow $1,100 for one with issues??? someone must really want one

Zookeeper isn't the most common machine, and it has a cult following.

(Though I guess all of these games pretty much fall into the category of "cult following" at this point.)

I was just thinking the other day about the following Zookeeper has among some Twin Galaxies players, and how out-of-proportion the interest is in comparison to the actual number of machines left out there. So I am not TOO surprised to see this.

There is a set of people who really, really love this game! It is definitely a "grail" sort of machine.

This was mine and I have to say I thought it would go for around 1200-1300. It is very difficult to find a complete one, working or not, and I think that is why the interest in this game is so high. It would be neat to see another Electric Yo Yo on Ebay. It would probably fetch $2500 or so. I am curious now as to what a working Zookeeper will go for now. I had two of these games and will never sell the remaining one.

Hey congrats Joe!

The one you had listed looked like a nice example from the pics - was this your extra one?

I'm not sure if will see another EYY in our lifetime... but If one does, I do believe it will top the dollar amount of the last one on Ebay....

It's actually quite funny how much hype and popularity this game has been getting the last few years. Bitd, we had one in our local arcade; I swear it was me and one other dude playing this....

Was this popular at your guy's local hangout bitd?

Yes, this was the extra one. There was only one arcade bitd (Great Games Northern Lights Shopping Center) in my area that had Zookeeper, that I know of anyway. It seemed like I was the only one ever to play it. This was a great arcade-had Baby Pac, Mach 3 cockpit, Moon Patrol-also where I saw the first Gladiator Taito kit conversion in my area. As far as the hype & popularity goes, it is a very addicting game once a person understands the gameplay-the audio is an awesome draw on it.
