Zoo Keeper UR, great original shape, working! $1400

[SOLD]

Zoo Keeper dedicated upright: WOTW (seriously!) with AA battery board mod. Cabinet in above average condition; small lock bar holes, but that's about the worst of it. Some flaking on bezel, but perfectly presentable, and instructions are lit from behind. Has what looks like a new CP with the original controls installed. Some burn-in, but monitor looks good. Plays great. $1400 [SOLD]

The rest:

Time to make some space and $$ for an eventual move. For those who are wondering, I'm keeping a couple of games, so I'm not getting out of vids completely. (Oh - and picking up a pin.) ;)

I'll keep editing this first post with updates re: condition and sales. I'm starting with sparse information, and will fill in as I can. I'm not a tech, so be sure to ASK QUESTIONS! I can then look into things for you.

PICTURES: As of today, no pictures. But I do have some already which I'll add to this thread, and I can take them upon request.

COMMUNIQUES: I might take a bit to answer PMs, so please have patience. Appreciated!

LOCATION: All games are located in Orange County, CA.

SHIPPING: I will ship - however, you have to make all arrangements, including having ths shipper wrap & pallet the game(s) and be able to pick up the machines during after-work / weekend hours. It's not that I don't want to be flexible for you, it's just that my time is *ridiculously* limited lately. If you'd like to have another KLOVer pick them up for you, that's fine too.

PAYMENT: Cash. No trades. What's above are KLOV prices before CL and feeBay.

There's no rush to sell, so I can take the time to answer your questions. Thanks for reading!

What's the double a battery mod? Mine has a cordless phone battery on it and it rarely saves scores. Just curious!

Yup, uses AA batteries instead of the cordless phone battery pack. So far, mine's had no problem saving scores...

The line does get juice, unless you install a diode in front of the batteries. Just installed one on a pcb the other day. I'm a fan of the small watch batteries though, less of a chance of leakage.

Some pictures. The doubling on the screen image is just my lousy camera...

You will regret selling this game eventually! By far the best and most addictive Taito game.

Agreed! I played this at Funspot for the first time and it became my new grail. So incredibly addicting and fun!

$1400 might be a challenge, but (I've said it before) Zookeeper has a weird "Star Wars cockpit"-type voodoo where people are willing to pay twice or three times what they'd pay for another game. So maybe it won't be a challenge.

I'll be interested to see if you sell this and at what price.

Some games are really, really good and I think that's one of them. It's one of few where the gameplay trumps the chunky graphics and despite the age, it sounds great.

Sold, for $1400.

Thanks for the interest, everyone!
