what should i use to get the side art off my ZK? i'm afraid to use some chemicals since the wood is such a shitty quality...heat gun is not cutting it ATM.

I don't have one currently, so I may be talking out my ass, but.. If the finish is as thin as I think it might be, I would skip stripper and just go with the sander. Start with 80 grit, the good green gator grit 3M stuff to strip the paint. Progressively finer, primer, etc.. Since you'd still have to sand after stripping, the stripper might be an unnecessary, messy step. Now, if you're stripping adhesive off of a control panel and the paint, then you NEED paint stripper!

Why are you removing it? Are you applying new art? If so, I would just sand it where needed, paint it, and apply the sticker. I don't see a purpose to removing all original art if you're going to paint it and apply a decal anyway.
If you do feel that it's necessary, though, I agree with just going straight to sanding it off. It's on there pretty thin and would come right off with a power sander.
