Zombie Raid monitir issue - This may be a universal wire but i am a noob

Well i am new to the whole arcade reapir and othern then finding wanring that i may kill myself trying to fix my issues i am having no luck tracking down where this wire goes. The monitor worked until recently when it suddenly shut off with no warning. After taking the back of i was able to locate a green wire with a loop on the end that i believe would cause this issue but i cannot figure out where it came from exactly.

If you have the back panel off and are looking at the machine the Jamma board should be on the right hand side of the machine. In the middle of the board on the bottom there is a bunch of wires running from the front to the back below the actural Jamma board. In the middle of that group of wires mine splits off and 6 wires run towards the back of the game (technically the front) to a different computer board (monitor board i assume) . My machine currently has 5 of these wires going to a plug on the monitor board on the bottom right hand side (a small red, blue green and a larger Black and White wire). Within the same bundle of wires there is a green wire with a loop connection on the end that fell off of somewhere and is now sitting on the bottom of the machine. This green wire is the same thickness as the larger white and black wires and i assume that it goes to the board or the monitor itself but i cant figure out where. If anyone could please help me you would be a life saver.

You'll have to show us a picture of what you're talking about. Also, a pic of the back of the monitor will help us determine which type chassis you have so we can answer specifically...

Sounds to me like a field ground... it likely went to the frame of the monitor.
This shouldn't cause any problems if not connected.

Just wondering where you are from ?

Don't happen to know KyleKite1980 or BrianDoerr do you ?

added pics

Here are a couple pics. One is of the jamma with the wires below, one is a closeup of the t where they change direction and one is of the other board with the plug holding 5 of the 6 wires and the 6th one in my hand. I also included a pic of the bottom of the monitor. If you need a different one let me know.

PS:I don't know KyleKite1980 or BrianDoerr and unfortunately it does not look like Brian fixed his issue sounds very similar.

Yeah, that green wire is just a chassis ground wire. Put it under one of the screws holding the chassis to the monitor frame....

You know Brian, reconnecting the ground wire isn't going to fix the problem you're having with that monitor. It's unfortunate you've alienated a lot of the local collectors around here because i'm sure one of us would have been glad to help you.

Sorry!

I did not alienate anyone on the board or any other board on purpose and if I did I do apologize. If there is a different section of this site I was supposed to post this or if there is a local help me section please let me know as I would love for someone local to help me out.
You are correct, re-connecting the ground did not help but I was hopeful I had found something important as I really do not know much about the system and the schematics on the manual were not very helpful as they only include the 1 jamma board and do not mention any wiring going to the monitor.
My next step is to find someone local (think my dad may know someone from his games but who knows) but if you or someone else on here is in Omaha please let me know.

PS: I am not Brian D. I am Brian G and live in the same area.
