My friends has this vending machine with a broken coin slot he wants me to help with. Is it possible to get a replacement? It looks kind of smashed and doesn't even move, but he'd like to restore it as original as possible, although they also don't mind if it ends up having to be "free play" of some sort. I notice there's 3 wires attached to it, how does that work? If I were to replace it with just a button, how would I wire it?

Also, the clown swings and talks every so often when powered on, is there a way to modify the timing or volume on that? Would be great if anyone knew more about this guy!

Any coin slide of that vintage should work. Even a "newer" one would work

Where would I find one? I spent about 2 hours looking last night and I still don't even know what terminology to use. Everything I find that's similar is like 4 coins for a laundromat. Does just no one make this anymore?

Those all appear to be just mechanical. Any idea what the wires go to? Is this the same type of side as those?

Yeah... He'll want to fix it right up to the point where thar creepy ass clown is running around his house at night.

Your system has a small switch. When you replace your coin mech, you'll just carefully transplant that switch so that when a coin is put into the slide and the slide is pushed in, the switch will be actuated.

Or better yet, call Crow River. They have some impressive capabilities, and may be able to sell you one with a switch.

Crow River has sold that portion to Bubo. These are just leftovers. Just mount a microswitch so that it actuates on a full stroke of the coin slide.

Well, there is this company that sells them too.
