zeno and I have had several dealings over the past year or so for little MK-related odds and ends, even though I think we've been talking tech stuff for a lot longer than that. it really goes without saying, because I think everyone already knows how truly helpful he is, but thanks zeno for being great to our community here.

together we'll likely help KLOV keep their MK stuff working lol

thanks boss.

yup bought a couple things from him, traded a couple security chips back and forth. great guy (mike one day i'll buy you a brew of choice).

Thanks a lot guys. Brood, I actually don't drink. Never have. Nothing against it, just not my thing. Seen too many of my friends over the years make fools of themselves and it's not my bag...baby.

You can buy me lunch sometime instead. Sounds better to me.

Thanks for the kind words. Always happy to help when I can. I don't know everything, nor do I claim to, but I like to help when I can.

Always wanted to tell the story of my name. This seems like a good enough place as any, so here it is. Way back in the late 90's when chat rooms/boards were just getting started, I wanted to use the screen name "Xenomorph." For those who don't know, those are the "aliens" from "Alien(s)." Someone else already had the name in use, so I tried "Z" instead of "X." A-holes had that one too. Dammit. I kept the "Z" but dropped the "H" at the end. I've used that screen name ever since. Just easier to remember that trying to recall 100 different screen names for the numerous boards I've been on over the years.

Thanks for reading my drivel.

lol, I couldn't remember if that was for you or Mecha. I do remember that it came out of the MK2 I got from ctozzi.

can't believe that thing was even in there. that thing was a beast to ship big thanks! (funny the other power brick i got from you cost about the same to ship i think).

yeah, wasn't me. I actually have an extra one from this awesome KI parts auction a few years back.. now that I think about it, I think I put that in my MK2, the MK2 one is sitting.. if I recall it's cause the power cord was severely messed up.

wanted to that other iso for testing. I'm just hella confused as to which pins on the connector go to the monitor (scalped harness), cause continuity reads on the wires don't work.

Well, i cant go without saying, Mike was my inspiration to collect all the mortal kombats, and with his videos, eagerness to help, great attitude, and ease to deal with, he certainly has made a big impact on my life, not only with the arcades, tinkering, and trouble shooting. But also how generally everything can be fixed, or repaired, and with you providing all that info for free on youtube, it literally has saved me tons of $$$, and from giving up, and selling all of them on atleast 4 seperate ocassions due to monitor issues, or power supplies. After watching your videos, i began to tinker, and low and behold they are all fully functional!

Mike as ive said before many times, You Are The Man!

Yup.. Feel the same way... Thanks Mike..

I am a huge MK fan that took a long break from MK. Once I started getting back into it, I got my first arcade game which of course was an MK2 and I started searching online and quickly found Mike's helpful videos. I also discovered from his videos that it was possible to be able to run all the MK's via a switcher in the cabinet. This was awesome news to me as I wanted to have all the Mk's but don't really have the room at the moment to have all of them games plus what I now have.

I was new to soldering and got in contact with him to do the switcher modes and kick harness mods for me. He was just getting back from Afghanistan and told me he wouldn't mind doing the mods for me. He also offered to try and repair my UMK pcb. He did all the mods for the switch for me, attempted to fix my fubar'd UMK and when he couldn't he offered to sell me a working one for a fair price.

He has always answered my various questions about anything MK or electrical related. At the moment he is selling me an UMK board that he was kind enough to convert back to a MK3 for me giving me everything needed to do so. Not to mention he also gave me a sound pot and interconnect cables for my MK1 board when he did my switcher mods.

Mike is a huge asset to the arcade community mortal kombat communities. Thanks again for all your help.

You're welcome and thanks for the kind words. I'm actually heading out to the Post Office right now with your MK3 and extra ram chips. Let me know how the repair process goes.

I will also say Mike is a great dude, he has helped my out a few times. I never saw someone devote as much time as he has to helping people via here and youtube, a class act.

Well I have to thrown my two cents in here. Earlier this year I bought my first arcade machine which was a MK2. Wanted to make it look like it just came from the factory so I started a search on YouTube and found this guy called YourMKarcadeSource and holy shit did this guy know his MK stuff.

After me emailing him a couple hundred times since i was a noob lol, I finally got my MK2 looking like I wanted. Been buying stuff off him and donated a few things to him for sharing his knowledge of arcade game wiring to me. I highly recommend this guy.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge Mike and hope you teach other noobs who have questions.
