Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out a zenith DS9CNF1 Amber dart monitor.

It's got a small two pin connector for power:

and an even smaller two pin connector for video:

I need to adapt it to an RCA cable for video:

and to a 12V wall wart for power:

Just wondering if there's a manual I can download or if anyone knows what the yellow/ black and violet/black wires do on this chassis.

Yeah, it looks like Violet is B+, yellow is signal. Then the blacks must be the neutrals on each pair?

I apologize that I'll be no help. Just wanted to say that is a very pretty looking monitor.

Well, I ordered some female RCA pigtails that I should be able to wire directly to these video wires. I also then ordered a female power connector pigtail to match a wall wart. In looking at the wire sequence, it seems like the purple is the positive/hot wire for power, and the yellow is the signal/video wire for the video connector. I tried to look in the dartboard manual, but it doesn't really tell me much.

Ordered a 13 V 3A AC adapter. That should do the trick as long as I get the two power wires in the correct order.

13 V 2A power supply showed up yesterday. That should work for the power consumption of this little monitor, no?

To those of you following along, I was able to adapt an RCA pigtail and a female AC adapter pigtail to this monitor:

And it works!

Now I just have to adapt the monitor to the opening/front door. I currently have it sitting up on three pieces of three-quarter inch plywood to get it at the right height. What I'm trying to do is replace this monochrome amber arachnid monitor that's basically like a small black-and-white television set:

The problem is it wasn't original to this game and it doesn't really fit. They even have 2 half ass cut pieces of quarter inch masonite propping it up. The main problem is the screen is too big for the monitor opening. So you either cut off the top or the bottom of the text, which really gets old when you're trying to play cricket. This 1984 9 or 10" monitor will fit perfectly once I build an adapter/bezel board to attach to the door and fit it directly centered in the opening:

This is great.

So part of the reason the original monitor was cut off is that there are 2 versions of the front opening, and one was slightly smaller than the other. You likely originally had the CRT for the larget opening, and the bezel for the smaller.

For your new monitor, it looks like a good replacement for the 9" that came in the 6000 series boards. What i am wondering is if you could use the original 6000 series screen protector and build a frame to hide the edges from that.

Bonus, the Arachnid monitor can be used as a television set. Does anyone have one of those vector VGA boards? Or whatever that raster/vector board that Nix used to sell?
