Hello all,

I'm just now getting around to fixing some of the quirks of my Bally/Midway Wacko machine, and I'm hitting a few obstacles that aren't covered in the manuals I have. I'm trying to improve the picture, which is a little too wide and tall and dark. I installed a cap kit when I first got the machine years ago, but I'd been reluctant to make any adjustments before.

The diagram on the back of the monitor identifies the adjustment pots, and while there are ones for horizontal centering and vertical height and centering, there doesn't seem to be a horizontal width or brightness or contrast adjustment. Is there any way to adjust the width? And is are the individual RGB drive pots the only way to adjust the brightness, or is there another way?

Thanks for any help,
Aaron T.

okay first the tube number means nothing that you listed. you need the chassis model number for someone to be able to help you properly and if you can't ID it than please post some pictures and we sure can ID it for you.

BTW: HOLY CRAP!!! you have been on here since 2004 and this is your first post...

First, that's not the tube number, that's the actual chassis model number. Apparently this model was used in some MCR II/III games. Second, I used to be an avid RGVAC reader years (decades?) ago, but life got in the way of game collecting, and I'm just now getting back to tinkering with my machines that still need work. Third, I think I answered my own question regarding the width adjustment; based on the schematic in the Bally/Midway monitor systems troubleshooting manual, the coil identified as just "LX3261" is actually the horizontal width coil, but it's in a pretty inaccessible location with the monitor installed in the machine (as is the vertical height adjustment)...

A picture of the monitor board would help. (If not you, then possibly someone in the future).

security, you're going to shit.

it's real. LOL found it in an old FS thread from a Burgertime.
