why the rash of Zektor ZVGs in the last 24hrs??? am i missing something here? did i miss the boat on an upgraded something or another???

yeah but B&W monitors for colored vector games??? maybe im missing something. i didn't read all 13 pgs but seems like they are making it fit Asteroids/AD cabs with B&W monitors. still cool to do for sure and i think Clay said they would come out with a colored version later, but man....that'll be a long while i think!

idk we'll see i guess

There are probably plenty of people who bought the ZVG and never got around to putting it in a cab. I fall into that same boat. I have the ZVG, cable, donor game, takeman control panel, and control panel wiring harness, yet I have not lifted a finger to build it.

Someone sold one pretty fast and got their investment back, then other people sitting on them started to think that maybe they were never going to build one either and they might as well take the money, so they started selling theirs.

This, exactly. I actually had mine sitting out to post for sale for a while and didn't get to it. Then when I saw the first one sell, it reminded me that I had mine sitting there ready to sell. I also have the nice takeman control panel, will need to sell that now. I realized that this is a project that I simply won't ever get to.

While I am really excited about Clay's multi-vector board, it seems like it could still be a long way off. If I had the money right now I woud have bought one of the ZVG's that have popped up lately. Just can't swing it right now. Hopefully in a few months when things settle down there will still be some people out there willing to sell.

Its prob because there is no artwork..

I think that's why. I was just looking in my office closet is past weekend for something. I saw a box on the shelf I had no idea what it was, it was the Zektor w/ a 6100 cable. I had forgot I bought it. Then I started looking around and found Takeman's Multi-Vector control panel on the top shelf. It was still in the box, only opened once...

The real surprise was, on top of the Multi-Vector box was a Multi-Williams CP I had bought. With a overlay!! That I need to install that still. But, I don't even remember buying it. Between the Arcade, Motorcycle, and now Mustang stuff stacked in boxes. I can't tell what is what. A Sharpie fixed that. My Wife called me a Hoarder.

Someone sell me a donor cabinet then! I have my ZVG in a Gravitar, but it wants it to be a real Gravitar again.

If anyone needs help getting their project off the ground, the pinsandvids videos on youtube are awesome. I can also help with any DOS nonsense by cloning my setup. That's the hardest part IMO.

Its possible that im going to make a few new cabs:)

Exactly! I'm to lazy to build the thing.. and I have almost every vector I would play on it.

Saw the run.. jumped on. Now who wants a Zektor w/G08 monitor cable?

Thanks for the offer, I will be contacting you at some point. Maybe in a month or two...

It varies from game to game. The color Atari and Sega games look/play great. B&W look not so nice; especially the ones that relied on cabinet effects like Asteroids Deluxe or Omega Race. Sound is good for most games, but volume is all wrong on Sega games.

I too bought a ZVG with the thoughts of making a vector MAME cabinet - but that doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon and have also thought about selling the card as I would rather someone put it to use vs. it sitting on my shelf - but I haven't completely decided on that part yet. ;)

Still waiting to hear if the first seller from the recent batch is going to sell so I may be in the market if not.

I'm really limited for space, so even if I could find all the vectors I wanted and had the cash, I wouldn't have anywhere to put them. Multi vector setups help keep the dream alive!
