I am having a problem with my ZVG build. I have never used DOS before this build so forgive me if I end up asking "simple" question(s) related to my current issue. A big than you to KLOVer awarner for his fantastic thread and videos detailing his video as it was what made it possible for me to even start building my ZVG.
I have everything running and it is driving my ZVG board although I have not tested it to a vector monitor yet. The issue I have is related to my Sound Blaster card. When I start the machine I receive the following message:
"C:\>C: DOSDRV\SBEINIT
Creative SB16 Emulation Driver, Version 5.00
Copyright (C) 1996-2001, Creative Technology Ltd., All Rights Reserved
Could not execute SBECFG>EXE
Creative SB16 Emulation Driver NOT loading"
I can get the games to play when I select "0" silent for when it asks me what sound card I am using but, when I select "1" for Sound Blaster the screen goes black for a bit and then comes back to "C:\DVMAME"
I am trying to use Sound Blaster Model: CT5803
I have a couple other Sound Blaster cards (different model numbers) but, I still get the same issue. I am guessing I need to try a different driver or I have an error elsewhere.
Thanks for any help!
