I have an original zaxxon with a video problem. Ok, I know for a fact and confirmed it thats its not the monitor. I took the monitor out of the cabinet and plug it into another game I have and that game came up clear and with no problems. So, the game plays you can see it, hear the sound, coins up, I can even play it with the joystick, very hard though, everything works except a horrible picture, bunch of triangles,etc... The switch on the pcb is in the correct position, just lost on where to go from here. Anyone come across this problem on there game? I was thinking about changing out the main chip Z80a but the game plays, etc.so that might no be the problem...

Heres a picture...the white circle in the picture is the flash from the camera

Any ideas or thoughts would be great....thanks for your time

I tried that Dave, and I also tried the self test, you can see the self test working, and the reset, just that crappy picture. On the wg4900, I saw something on the conncetor compared to my bump and jumpwg4600, the connector on the zaxxon the r/g/b for the monitor has 5 wires, r/g/b/bw/someother color. The bw jumps to the other pin. I LL go take a picture. On my bump and jumps wg4600, there are 2 conectors with the r/g/b seperate

heres a picture of the zaxxon monitor connector, I think thats wrong, isnt the sync wires suppose to go to another connection on the board itself with 2 wires? In my bump and jump its got the 3 r/b/g by itself one connector, and 2 other wires going to the 2 pin connector next to it, I have nothing going to the 2 pin connector next to the R/G/B connector. Oopss, I said wg4600, its a wg 4900 monitor
