Zaxxon CL ad - Speechless

Well, extra points for effort. Hey, he did what he could and he kept the game working. Props for that. $200 is high, but hey, offer $100 - probably worth that for a good working monitor and a Zaxxon boardset. Er. Wait, Zaxxon. Maybe $50.

Whoa. That one should get a special prize or something.

Hahahahaha....holy crap. Just when you thought you've seen it all...

I was SOOOOO sure that was the LAX "Track n Field" guy...

Wow. When you are in the market for a new "enclosure" for your arcade game, try not to pick one that looks like it has Leprosy.

This is a great machine!

He cared enough about Zaxxon (Zaxxon, mind you) to piece together whatever was left and make it work with the resources he had, even though it ended up being ugly as sin. This was a labor of love; I applaud him.

Also, the saving grace is the asking price: "$200 but NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED !!!!!!!" There's definitely $50-75 worth of parts.

It should be allowed to die, peacefully.
One quick shot to the head. Kill it for god's sake.

Are those... PC speakers?

Someone buy this, and make a lounge chair out of it...

My God. Is this not an arcade preservation site?

He preserved the Zaxxon and kept it running. Good job!!!!

That cabinet was obviously trashed. Looks like it took on alot of water. If someone got a gutted Zaxxon cabinet for free (it can be done), you have a decent Zaxxon for $200 and a little time. Probably less if you offer him SOMETHING for it.

I applaud him. He managed to keep a classic game alive. Some people are never happy :( You crucify him for keeping a classic game working, but if he had a working Zaxxon that he Mame'd, you be all over him for that!

Not everyone is a collector and knows the terms for stuff.

Damn, now I REALLY appreciate the Zaxxon I bought a couple of months ago for $80.00. It had all the enclosures attached and in pretty good shape and all it needed was a cap kit.

On a sidenote, I do believe that pink sticker on the front is a Vintage Vinyl bumper sticker. It's a great local record shop I go to in St. Louis.

While I tend to agree with SilverUnicorn, there are times when it is just best to let it die and EPay the remains. This definitely has to be one of those times.

If I were to pick it up, I would disassemble it on-site and take the working pieces.I would be afraid to try to transport that monitor the way it is.

If you have seen the pictures of the Sinistar Simulator you know I got nothing to kick about what he did. On the other hand, it is just a pile of parts and any offer needs to recognize that.

I applaud his effors....but......

ZAXXON?!?!?

I just gave away my empty Zaxxon cabinet not too long ago.

There's always the chance too that this is a kid. If it's a kid, it makes more sense. The cutoff is 15. If he's older than 15.... WTF???!!!???
