Not sure why this just popped into my head but what ever happened to the kid that people here sent parts to to have a real arcade game. He was the one that everyone was making fun of at first and then everyone rallied around to send parts to him so he could have a real arcade game. Seems like someone local even went to his house to help out. Has there been any updates to this to see what hes doing now. I just thought it was a good story of how good people on these boards can be.

I thought his dad went and bought him a game and he put up a YouTube video of him bringing it home.

When I was a kid I made a vending machine out of cardboard. It really worked. Sort of. Good times. Yeah, someone got this kid a generic JAMMA and he was absolutely overjoyed, recorded a bunch of vids on it. It seems like this board has modes: Charity Overload or Flaming Arsony :D

Golden axe was a hard one to find.. original sitting in basement now :)
at least in this area I never see them.
Wish i would have seen that story about the kid, sounds awesome.

My search-fu sucks so I couldnt find the thread. Basically a kid posted a video on youtube where he made a mame cabinet out of a computer and cardboard. It got laughed at here for a bit untill a bunch of people hunted him down and started sending him things and giving him help so he could have the real thing. It was just nice to see how giving people here can be and that its not always just fighting and bitching.
