I have one available locally. I haven't went to see it yet but would like some feedback on how it plays and if it is a pin you would keep for an extended time or get bored of easily?

I played a few games on one that wasn't in great condition and it didn't hold my interest at all despite loving the tv show and being a big Star Wars guy. If you can get it super cheap it looks pretty cool but is more of a novelty than a great playing game.

I am actually picking up a Buck Rogers this weekend. The guy said its in near mint condition and works great and he wants $200. So instead I told him I would give him my 2nd Nintendo Red Tent I have sitting in my garage with no games and he said ok. I will let you know how I like it.

I've never been a fan of the Gottlieb System 1 games.

They all have beautiful artwork on them and play horribly slow. Plus, you have to fix all the original engineering problems with new boards to get them to be reliable.

I'd pass unless I needed an oversized night light.

If you end up not liking it, let me know (I'm in Kansas City). I had this game in our basement as a kid and kind of miss it from sentimental value. Game play was OK, with the most unique feature being the vari-target.

It's a system 1, and I'd say it's not one of the better ones. The sound is awful on that machine...but you can retro-fit a chime box in it. The vari-target is cool, but overall it plays just like a EM. I would say the gameplay is so-so, it has the basics, pops, drops, roll overs, and the vari-target. Just be aware that the orginal CPU and soundboard have parts that are no longer available. And for the record, not all System 1's are stinkers- Sinbad, Joker Poker, and Genie, are great games in my opinion.
