And the rarest board would probably be one that I have no idea what the h*ll it is. There is a note magic markered on the side calling it "Striper" but I haven't found a game called Striper anywhere. It has a mostly JAMMA adapter on it. I've been tracing circuits to verify power requirements and outputs, but I haven't powered it up yet.
Could it be Strider? '89 Capcom game that was JAMMA.
My rarest game... My knee jerk reaction would be to say Quantum but it actually isn't that rare of a title today compared to some other games. Only about 500 were made but a fair number of those still exist.
I would have thought my Krull or Mad Planets would be rare but VAPS census shows a fair number of those in circulation too.
Zoo Keeper only seems rare I think, due to collectors not parting with them very often.
So my rarest game would probably have to be Kicker (a.k.a. Shao-Lin's Road). VAPS shows only four in conversions cabs, with the rest being just boards. There were no dedicated cabs of this game though; it was conversion kit only, so maybe it doesn't count.
I don't own any games where only a dozen or fewer are known to still exist, although I'm on the hunt for Wild Western and Tac/Scan and both of those seem to be pretty rare these days.
