Tons of threads about CL buyers and sellers that are just ridiculous but i have one about me and was wondering if anyone else had a story to share.

So it's a little after 5pm and im printing out labels for my ebay sales when i notice my ticker about a CL item. It says Pinball (canal winchester) $200. I immediately click on it and am in such a hurry to call and reserve my spot to buy it that i dont pay full attention to the ad. No answer so i leave a voice mail. Remember im hurrying around!

here is the ad:

The owner called me back so i guess i was first. I postponed my post office trip and head on out after talking to owner and getting the address. I put my tools in the van and off i went. 20 miles away isn't anything to me so im excited thinking im going to land, get this, a Rambo DMD pinball machine, or at least what i thought. LOL Now im a newb when it comes to pinball but you shouldve seen the disappointment on my face when i saw it was a "bitch Rambo" pin called Raven!

$200 isnt bad for this machine as it actually powered up, just the ball/game wouldnt go into play mode. I was so disappointed i didnt even buy it nor give him an OBO. I explained to him i thought it was something else and i was going to pass.

Other then the water warped Galaga i fought with another buyer about, this is probably the biggest CL stupidity story for me. :(

HAHAHAHAAHh That's great!! That has the be one of the most undesirable coin-op machines in history!! WOW!! HAHAHAH!! Great Story!!

I once drove an hour and a half to pick up a great condition Primal Rage cabinet... I mainly wanted it for the 33" monitor that was inside. Not once though did I think to ask for the dimensions of the cab before I started on the road. This thing was freaking huge. So I get it home and load it on the dolly to get it into my house only to then realize it is about 2 inches too wide for the 3 doorways I would have to pass through to get it inside. I would have had to completely dismantle the door frame on all 3 doorways to make it work. I ended calling up a local buddy and trading him straight up for a generic MK style cab with a 27" monitor which would fit into my house.

I sold one of those years ago for a measly 400.00 bucks. I'm talking about 15 years ago.. It worked great.. I just wasn't very fun.

Primal Rage? Yeah, I didn't buy it for the game. I bought it because the monitor/cab were perfect. The Primal Rage pcb was out of the game almost as soon as it reached my house.
