Yeah...some great posts on this thread for sure. I am amazed a place like this still exists and always find it comforting when others are as warped as me and attempt to recreate the exact same atmosphere in their home arcades!

For those of you locals the other HUGE arcade I used to hit was Walker's Pinball Palace on 12 Mile/Dequindre. Walker's along with The BUtterfly were the mutha of all local arcades in the 1970's...or at least that is what I used to think (in my limited 5 mile radius world - LOL) before all the pizza theme places started showing up. My wife says The Galaxy Arcade was always the place to be...LOL (that place didn't open until 1981 - so I called her an arcade rookie!).

I just remember aracde games everywhere....at the 7-11...Great Scott's...Putt Putt...you name it...they seemed to be everywhere.

I think I'll head down and fire up a few games at Tranquility Base Arcade - I know that one will be around for quite some time!

Yeah...I typically get 150 guests a weekend throwing beer around and smoking cigars in the cade!

LOL. Reality check......two small kids......me sitting downstairs by myself...smiling and playing Asteroids.....that constitutes about how CRAZY it gets in the cade....

Vids - Interesting enough I saw an Asteroids, a Galaxian and quite a few other games in those videos from 3 years ago. There must still be quite a rotation of stuff going through that place. I also thought I saw Bigfoot a few times as I believe the 'Blair-Witch-Cam' must have been used when taking those vids!

Yeah....I go pretty hardcore down there....I'm sure it was 60/40 leaded solder....mixed with an occasional beer, double stiff drink, boozy coffee....etc.....
