I know there's going to be A LOT of CAX pic threads. I'd like to see what you consider the most interesting. I really got a kick out of this one:

To me, seeing the first successful video arcade game sitting next to a little more contemporary successful video arcade game, is like seeing a man standing next to his ancient ancestor. It implies a massive amount of technolgical and design evolution in just one picture.

Almost thirty years from one game to the next, and yet, you notice that the goal is the same - beat your opponent. :)

The thing I noticed about the Pong games that were there is....how darned short they are. Almost unplayable to me. And the same thing with Armor Attack. I had to play it on my knees. I don't remember that from back in the day. And while I'm at it, a lot of the KLOV'rs are much shorter than I expected....

Oh, and in the spirit of the thread....my camera flash is terrible so most of my pictures didn't come out well. But these two are interesting to me.

The first is just a bunch of people I don't know playing the Sprint 8. No comment really needed. Just a neat thing.

And the second is this guy playing this crazy weird instrument. The sound was unreal. I have some video of him playing it if anyone is interested but the sound doesn't really do it justice at all.

Awesome pic of the Sprint 8 loaded up with players. I intended to get in on that game at some point and never made it happen. Bummer. A lot of people were having fun on it, though.

Another downer is that I didn't get to meet EVB. Even the people I was hanging out with were "scattered" about at the show, and I didn't even see them much except out in the lobby. I did get to play EVB's Warlords with AvidGeek and Savit4l8r, and another guy who I don't think is a KLOV'er.

Hopefully we get a LOT more pics posted in this thread. I didn't take any pics this year as I usually do, or I'd share them...but there were a ton taken.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just say that it was a pleasure meeting all of you and I had a great time hanging out/drinking/playing games with many of you.

Get this: It isn't too early to start talking about CAX 2011. In fact, I believe they had dates for next year posted at the welcome tables, something like July 9 and 10, 2011.

Time to mark the calendar.

I can't remember who owns it but I think it is the same one I saw a few years ago (2002) when I bought a Demo Derby 4 player and a Do Run Run Mini and he had that as well as the flying prototype of Race Driving. I think he may have had the Bradley Trainer as well. Not sure if he owned the games or they were someone elses. He had a building in town he was going to use for his personal game room where he had the Sprint 8. I am sure it is the same one as around 10 or less were made. And I am sure he would never sell it to Jeff the guy looking for one.

Pretty sure the guitar player is Jean Baudin who is a klov member that used to have an incredible collection (not sure of it's current status) but he has some amazing youtube vids of him playing.

alright. here's a few, but i'll post all mine in a thread tomorrow.

hey, did mark alpiger follow you guys around the whole night and try to get you to buy twin galaxies stuff from him? i was warned to not take a pic with him for that reason.

did you guys tell him that chris scored that crystal castles poster for $20 from that guy selling all the pinball stuff? he would've probably pissed himself.

shhh..... no one needs to know about that poster ;) hehe.....

it was nice meeting you cleverlyj @ cax (and your wife too). kinda funny, mark DID try to sell us some of his dvds. i didnt mind donating to the cause and i ended up buying his crystal castles dvd. mark is mos def an interesting dude. had a great time watching him play crystal castles and marble madness both with the legendary SOCK technique and the one handed GLOVE technique. dave got some good footage too! chris
