So what are you using to haul your games? I know some people have done some amazing cramming. I was thinking more practically. I borrowed a Tahoe to move a pinball and enjoyed using it. However it seems slightly insane just to buy one for this sole purpose.

I don't mind renting trucks to move games but the rental process itself is a pain in the ass. I just want to make a cash offer on a game and pick that shit up.

My favorite game hauler is whatever the other guy is using to deliver the game to my place.

:D

My Ranger.

500lb capacity TommyGate (although it lifted that Sega SuperGT with somewhat of a struggle.. I know that is over 500lbs. So, maybe 600lb capacity absolute max?)
SuperSprings for suspension support.

Moved these 3 games today.

My Hyundai Santa Fe.

It can fit a single upright fairly easily. While also being able to close the back. If I really had space and was going to be collecting a lot of games, I'd probably just buy a small pickup of some sort. One that is super low to the ground in the back hahah... I'm not sure I'd want to go spring for a lift gate and all that unless I was doing arcade stuff commercially and needed to move machines all the time.

I just bought this avalanche and picked up a tempest in it 2 days later.

I have to say I'm pretty happy with this truck so far.

TOYOTA 4 RUNNER. Can fit one game at a time with the back seats down and can even close the back hatch. So far its hauled ASTEROIDS , DIG DUG , TEMPEST , CENTIPEDE , DEFENDER , LETHAL ENFORCERS and FROGGER.

Most SUV type things will fit a game or pin. The challenge comes when you want to haul more than one.

For a dedicated game hauler, I spotted a really short box truck with a liftgate at Grinkers. Short, so it's easy to maneuver, but tall so games can go in upright. Liftgate, well that should be obvious.

Something like this...

My neighbor has one of those, and we hauled my Dig Dug cocktail home with it. Nice vehicle, but not my style.

Honda Element for the Win! You can remove the back seats completely, and the floor is very flat. I've dragged Assault, Marble Madness, Capcom Impress Candy, Dynamo, Outrun Turbo Mini, and a TMNT 4 player in it. One at a time, of course...

Another +1 for Honda Element! I'm 6'4" and fat and the Element fits me with tons of headroom (8"??) and either a pin or an UR (of many but not all styles) with the doors closed. And it's easy to parallel park in a space that an SUV wouldn't fit in.

I'm glad you mentioned that. I was about to rent a Uhaul van for over $100 but I could try and rent a minivan locally for 1 day and save a bunch I bet.

Thanks,
Andy

If you have an Enterprise near you they are the cheapest. You can rent a full-sized pickup or free-candy van for $31 (not including insurance). They're awesome.

2003 Ford E-150. Fits 4 pins, or 2 arcades. Tows a trailer. Bought sctrictly for the purpose of hauling games. Works better than a truck because it's all covered. You add a nice touchscreen navigation head unit, satellite radio and a backup camera and all of your game hauling needs are met. There's nothing better, unless it's a larger van.

When I see a topper on an avalanche, I say to myself, "Now there's a guy who wishes he bought a tahoe."

IT came that way. I intend to remove it so i can haul 3 games at a time. Can a tahoe do that? :)
