your best scores on games you own.

I suck at both the games I have:

Ms pacman: 89,000
Frogger: 18,000

I need to get my garage finished and my games moved out there so I can actually start playing them rather than dodging them. I'm envious of the people that have basements here...

No one said it wasn't valid...

I know Steve is the best at the game. I was wondering why he didn't continue it.

Thanks Darren, I have a ton of respect for your skills across many titles. When I was filming, the way the font/location of the score is on EA (and similar Taito titles) I was not sure that if the game reset (and when it does it zeros out the score) the score would have been entirely 100% verifiable when reset occurred.

I had planned to zoom in on the score without breaking tape and immediately after game end but sometimes those numbers look a bit blended together when you are not zoomed in during regular game filming. Basically I wanted to be 100% certain there would be no issues and if the game had reset on me after crossing the record, I might have retired for good.

FWIW, I don't think it is a PCB issue now because the machine at Funspot has done it to me as well and it is always in the act of a quick jump/kick but I'm not sure what causes it exactly. Building # and floor location don't seem to matter. It sort of freezes in mid jump/kick for a few seconds, then goes to the title screen.

Nice score on Circus Charlie, very difficult game IMO.

Here's a few that I can recall...

Tron-420,xxx
Satan's Hollow-257,xxx
Moon Cresta-26,xxx
Time Pilot-256,xxx

That's some sort of bug in the game. The competition on Elevator Action isn't up to that of games like Robotron which is why few people are aware of it. I've had it reset on me at Funspot several times. (The last time it reset on me when I was nearing 100k on my second life).

I have two or three EA PCB sets, so I plan to get back into practice this year.

Cool. GL Darren. Once the tournament in Burlington is over and the Kong Off is over, I plan on getting back into playing it a lot again and hopefully cross the 200k plateau.

What are the best scores you have got on games you currently own?

That's what I've got, what about you guys?

Sorry for the large pics, but they were already out on the web, so I didn't hassle with resizing them.

Food Fight (although it's my son, not me, old pic, but he hasn't beaten the ones in the pic):

Missile Command (these are mine, old pic, I think several have been topped by me):

Missile_Command_high_scores.jpg

Robotron - 870,325 Jrok
Joust - 66,150 Jrok
Defender - 12,700 Jrok ..I really suck at this game obviously..
Pole Position - 63,100 TG settings
Smash TV - 20,456,500
Mortal Kombat - a measily 4 wins in a row against the AI with Raiden
Mr. Do - 57,900 - Icade
Galaga - 144,920 - Icade regular settings
Ms.Pac - 44,420 - Icade slow
Last Action Hero pin - 642,256,440
Asteroids - 39,670
Centipede - 59, 840
Rush The Rock; factory settings:
Track 1 - 2:26 2 laps
Track 2 - 5:15 3 laps
Track 3 - 5:24 2 laps
Track 4 - 3:58 3 laps
Track 5 - 4:25 3 laps
Track 6 - 3:41 2 laps
Track 7 - 4:47 2 laps

Certainly feel lucky to have access to all these so I can frustrate myself in many different ways.. LOL!

Berzerk - 350,340

How do you do this? I'm not doubting you, but I'd sure like to see it. On Frenzy maybe, but on Berzerk? After a few levels, Otto is just too fast and the game is unplayable. I don't think I've ever seen anyone top 25K on this game. Would like to see a youtube of someone scoring in your zone to see how and what they are doing. To me, this is the best score that anyone has reported on any game so far.

Space Invaders Deluxe 4,500
Asteroids 27,000

With a little practice, I'm sure you cane double your Deluxe Space Invaders score. If you can stand playing it I mean. With the other games around, it's boring!

Asteroids, this is one game that you have to play constantly to "stay in shape". I admit I'd have a hard time getting 27,000 now, but back in the arcade days, after I got good at it, if I scored less than 100,000, I'd be embarressed to admit it to anyone.

bubbles - 61k

Only 61k on Bubbles? Come on, your not even trying.

missile command 19,000 i suck!!

Ok, at least you admit you stink. But you can definitely get better quickly with a little practice at this game. I bet you could beat your score right off if you played 10 games straight.

Asteroids - 39,670

Well, better than airlair's score at least. :)

A couple of mine:

Millipede- 160,169 (one credit without continues)
Bubbles - 560k (it only starts getting fun at around sink 30)
DK - 159,300
