Your attraction mode noise,on?, or off?

donkey kong

Attract sound for Donkey Kong? That's not original! ;)

and the best is the popeye(my dog sings along when it comes on)

Ha! That's awesome.

None of the machines I have now have attract sounds. I think every home arcade should have the the following attract sounds:

Galaga
Pole Position
Spy Hunter
The Goonies
Berzerk
Q*Bert
1943
Mat Mania
TMNT
The Simpsons
Demolition Derby
Popeye
Space Harrier
After Burner II
...that's all I can think of at the moment. :D

there all on here I love all the sounds being on with your only playing 1 game at a time.

Plus the free play/ High Score kits brings the sounds too games that would'nt have any without playing them!

I have them off to preserve the peace in the house. Part of that is because they are spread throughout the house.

I try to keep all my attract sounds going. With the exception of the multicade stuff. That music sounds terrible.

Yes! Nailed that one mulitcade music does sound.. "terrible" :((jezz its still stuck in my head!)

I like them on.. but having punch out on free play annoys the crap out of me.

Depends on the mood.Sometimes I want to hear the attract sounds, other times I'd rather just have silence,of course I just usually turn the game off instead of changing it.

Thanks for posting this!! Now I know not to turn the sound on once my punchout is finished. I get annoyed with the voice while playing the game so it would kill me to hear it when I'm not.

On. Even the pin which talks up a storm.

I don't know why you would turn them off, unless you are leaving them on when you are not playing. In that case, turn the games off when you aren't playing them. :)

My rule at home is the same as my rule on location:

Constant / Annoying attract modes = OFF

Occassional sounds = ON

Constant games include: ZOOkEEPER, DOUBLE DRAGON, Most CAPCOM & KONAMI titles.

Occassional games would be: TETRIS, SPY HUNTER, SUPER HANG-ON, Most WILLIAMS and ATARI titles.

The idea being arcade sounds are great... but if you're gonna be around them for an extended time, high repetition gets old. This also allows me to play some background music without too much interference. The "arcade" gets louder with higher traffic and that's fine.

I'm with you. Add Popeye to the 'annoying' list. Shinobi always annoyed me too. I love the attract modes on Pole Position and Altered Beast though, so those stay on.
