Your 2022 arcade goals/resolutions

Finish the following:
  • Blackout
  • Big red NEO geo
  • Slim Mario bros
  • Centipede
Get rid of:
  • Centipede cabinet
  • TeamPlay Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command

This thread kind of died off, but I found something noteworthy.

I just finished my taxes, and we hit a few of the nice resale shops.

And I found this gem:

It is perfect over my Asteroids Deluxe cocktail! The wall color - blah. But I can change that.

I'm thinking of a nice Merlot red perhaps......

$60 bucks, with a very nice frame, with GLASS not plexiglass!

nothing major. no piles of project games.
  • continue the hunt for a couple final parts to complete (2) remaining project games
  • fabricate a complete game harness. Dios mio 😐

Prep and paint 14 cabinets with new paint sprayer
Apply side-art/art-stickers on at least 5 out of 10 cabinets
Sell/trade off the DKs
Link the Hydro Thunders
Rearrange the gameroom layout & move the ceiling light fixtures to match
Move the power switches box from the floor -> above the games

& If I do anything out of order... there will be chaos.

I found this gem:
That thing is beautiful ! Nice find. Thats the exact type of stuff I am into myself. Congratulations.

2022 goal for me ?? I am going to *maybe* try to do just a *little* less cocaine
:56:

I know thats setting the bar really high, but I'ma try. :50:

I have a Robotron and Star Wars left to fix (Lots of cabinet issues)...Big summer plans...would love to add a Missile Command.

Amp up the stuff I do.
Keep my passion high for stuff I find fun to do.

Buy more arcade machines.
Convert the ones I have into epic arcade memories. Support the good people in this hobby.

Bring attention to those who deserve it.

One project left yesterday, another one should be gone before the end of the month.

Making progress and getting some space back.
One more set to leave soon. Two more projects to purge and I think I'll be in a good place space/project wise.

20 years since seeing Dave Dries Arcade 84, have always been inspired by it. Who else?

The goal for 2022 is to have all 4 cockpits shown in the video and to have them all working. It's taken a lifetime of collecting for me personally but it's always been the goal, some of my best memories at arcades growing up.

I love the hobby and enjoy hearing about other people's projects, stories, why they do it, what drives them and I hope to always share the same passion for it!

What are you hoping to accomplish this year with your collection?

As this thread's popped back up...

This year... I really feel will be the year I actually finish my Battlezone mini :)

Seeing as I'm just replying 4 1/2 months in might give some idea of how it's going...

Find a Dragon's Lair cab to start a ground up build. It's the last game of my childhood that I loved but don't own.

Make a nice arcade tour video
Then sell at least 10 games including some of my minis
Fill the gaps with other games from inventory that haven't been played in a while
Make another tour video with the new setup
Keep watching for some favorites that I've never owned and grab them if I can
And finally invite friends over to play again!
