*Note: does not apply to personal grails or games that you really want.

1. You prefer dedicated machines over conversions.
2. $100 CL conversion cabs hold little interest for you other than a spare monitor.
3. You never even consider shipping games around the country anymore.
4. Road trips to get games should only be a couple of hours round trip.
5. Your project games must be almost complete to be considered.
6. You start to set strict price controls on any new game purchases.
7. You start to focus more on taking care of what you own rather than the hunt for more games.

Feel free to add!

Disagree with these 2. The more I'm in the hobby, the less scared I am to ship or have games shipped to me. This year, I've shipped out at least five to:

Denmark
Louisiana
Nebraska
New York
Virginia

and had one shipped to me:

From Nebraska

As for road trips, I will still drive up to 6 hours one way depending on the game. What I think has changed for me is my desire to do full restores. I would much rather pay more for a nice cab than try to save money and spend 3 months (or more) fucking with it.

To finish the projects that I DO have in a more relaxed atmosphere, I am actually considering getting off-site storage to put all of my project cabs/parts into, so that I can't/ won't look at the other 10-15 projects while trying to focus on working on one of them. The peace of mind is worth the $50/month to me. I always end up working on 3-4 at a time and never getting any of them done. I also tend to lose or lump parts with the wrong projects, prompting 2-3 hour searches for a marquee bracket.
