Last night we stopped by a local ice cream shop. They have had 2 Arcade 1up Pac-Man machines there for a while, and I've not paid much attention to them. I had a moment, so I gave one the operating machine a try.
Their signage begged us to be careful with their 'Vintage' Pac-Man machines, and not to let young children under 7 years old use them.
I guess 24 months makes something vintage and fragile, and not the consumer grade construction. (Side note: I've already heard of the vintage 1UP Dragon's Lair machines selling at a premium).
In a statement for which hundreds here might go 'duh', let's just say I found the joystick 'lightweight' compared to the original which was not conducive to a record breaking score.
