You can't trust the PO anymore

One of the cities on the list was Diamond bar, Which is right next door to the city I live in.
I learned never to drop off stuff at the local Post office, The likely hood of my stuff making it out to were it needed to go was always hit n miss. I had no problems if I used other places.

I ship about 300-400 items per year with all 3 of the major shipping companies and have been doing this for about 15 years. They all have problems, UPS the most. USPS has lost a few things but they are the best about paying the claims in this situation. UPS will lose and or damage more stuff than any other carrier and they have thousands of excuses to not pay their claims.
I use fed ex the least due to the prices but have never had them lose a package. I did see an issue with Fedex that's worth mentioning. A buddy ordered a third member for his truck, pretty heavy part, 100 plus LBS. He has a camera at his front door and when the part was delivered, the driver tossed it to his porch for about 6 feet away, part came rolling out of the box and damaged the concrete on the porch, drive ran back to his truck, returned with a roll of tape and taped the part back into the box and split. Fed Ex tried everything to get out of paying the claim. My buddy had to retain a lawyer to get them to accept the video at which time they finally agreed to replace the part and have his porch fixed.

Overall, I think USPS has the best service, they pick up what ever I ship for free and if they bring a package to my house, they carry it to my door with the mail in hand and ring my door bell, UPS and FE will not do that. My mail carrier will even carry UPS and Fed Ex packages to my door that are left at the end of my driveway. My carrier will even add postage to something that's short and leaves a receipt in my box the next day, that's service in my book.

That's really cool. I always had good rapport with the folks at the local Post Office. Bunch of nice people working there.
