You can't trust the PO anymore

Someone was talking about the benefits of having a PO Box....this is a great reason.

p.o. boxes also suck. I cant tell you how many times they loose our mail. I keep track of dmv as it seems they have lost those about 4 times in the 10 years and I hate paying late fees.

I try to use fedex whenever I can.

Yea, I'm not sure how having a PO box stops USPS employees from stealing your mail?

When I was younger, dear old grandma sent me $20 every year for my birthday.

She had to start taping the $20 bill to the inside of the card because a low-life USPS employee was razor-ing open the side of the envelope and sliding the bill out.

USPS still delivered the card...just with a clean slit down the side where the worker stole the money.

Fedex is just as worse I had a driver try to steal a box of aftermarket car parts from me he even signed a fake name. After I called fedex and told them I would be filling a police report against the driver for forgery and theft my package showed up within the hour the driver ran and quickly hoped in his truck when I confronted him.It was many years ago and around the holidays when they hire anyone off the street so I left it at that.

Fast forward to just last week same shit two days fedex said my order was on truck but they refused to deliver and it would be rescheduled for the next day both days its was due for devilery. This time Bass Pro shop and myself got on them wouldn't you know my package shows up at 7:15 at night box wide open and gone threw someone was planning on going fishing that weekend lol.The fucker tip toed up my walkway so the dogs wouldn't hear him.

Around here Fedex drivers take there trucks home at the end of the day

That may sound surprising but it's not uncommon. In some areas, FedEx drivers are kinda like independent contractors that sorta "own their own business". In some cases, I think they own their own truck. So driving it home wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Sure does seem shady though.

This is what happens when you let Unions run things. You get subpar workers and bad ethics internally. UPS and USPS are both like that and it is sad that I can see a ton of reasons for why the Unions are at fault. Sometimes workers need to just be fired instead of the union always getting they're back and making it hard as hell to get rid of the bad apples. With this thought process the bad apples keep piling up and the good apples get tired and leave or stop care because shy should they with the other crap workers getting just as much as them for crap work. my 2 cents

I feel your pain. I tried to mail UPSP a marquee to Dallas, I live 62 miles from there. They lost it and didn't know how it happened.

I think all have potential for abuse. I think usps is the worst as they make no effort to really track their packages. I don't use ups as they are farther than fedex. But I would trust them over USPS. But one thing about ups is their insurance is worthless. I had an item shipped to me. It was packaged by UPS mail boxes ect. They denied the damage claim saying it was not packed correctly. Their own company did the packing!

the only time I use usps is if an item is under 13oz or if its going out of the usa.

Recently i mentioned i had a tempest UR glass and scramble for sale.
Ive been holding back because of some of the horror stories people write up
about UPS and FEDEX .
I got a feeling no matter how well i pack it .. they will screw it up.

I must be a special snowflake because Ive never had any bad experiences with USPS or UPS that was their fault. Ive had several with FedEx though. Considering 5% of my shipping is done with Fedex makes them even worse statistically.

I avoid using them now after they tricked me into signing for a damaged item. Basically the driver opened my box and rotated the item so the damage wasn't visible thru the hole they made. I looked in the hole before accepting and it looked good so I did. Only later did I noticed the damage and how it lined up with the hole. The fresh, pristine and double layer of packing tape was also a dead giveaway.

At least when USPS or UPS beats up a box they don't try to cover it up or trick you. Most of the time its the fault of the crappy packing job the seller did anyway.

I don't recommend ConWay trucking either. Their name says it all.

This is really going to vary with the carrier and particulars. I had a G08 packed and shipped by UPS, which arrived safely. The only regret I have is that I sold it to begin with since the buyer stiffed me on that deal. UPS was actually good to deal with.

USPS lost an original BattleZone poster destined for me many years ago. :(

Keep in mind that the Pac-Man, Galaga, and Ms. Pac-Man glass bezels get shipped all the time by TwoBit Score (at least they used to). I bought one years ago and was surprised how little packing it actually contained, but it had it where it counted).

Man, 20$?! My grams only sent a Lincoln

From what I understand USPS requires a court order to open a package, the other carriers can open it up, rummage through the contents, decide if they want to risk snagging something, etc. I've had good dealings with USPS and have only lost maybe one thing out of hundreds or thousands of packages.

I met one of the founders of UPS when I was a kid. She was on vacation in Tahiti with one of her grand daughters (hot big titted bitch). She explained how the company started by using bicycles to deliver stuff when she was just a youngster. They obviously did really well and by the time I met them were living like fat cats in luxury.

I have video from a few years back of a USPS employee stealing over $3000 in music festival tickets that were mailed to me. He did it right in front of the camera at my front door. Filed complaint, local post office manager tried to delete it and talk us out of pursuing the matter. Postal Union subsequently did everything they possibly could to protect the thief.

A week later the same package showed up at a different address of ours with the post office saying it was just a "mix up".

Several years later he did something even worse - good enough to get suspended for several months. But fired? Naaaah. Union.

Hate to burst your bubble, but it is the same problem even without the union. I have worked both. I worked for a major retaialer in distribution, where the management and workers were full fledged working a theft ring out of the back. They made damn sure the boy scouts were quickly axed, and no union meant no chance they would come back. Took years to bring most of them in on charges. I worked union where guys would smash shit without any worry of retaliation, would get fired for mouthing off and come back, drugs, alcohal, whatever. It is bad both ways. There's just shitty people, period.

Most fast food isn't Union...but the employees are horrendous and have gotten steadily worse...I think the overarching problem is more the lapse in ethics and accepted activity within the current generation of folks, than it is a "Union" thing per se.

This all depends on where you live.

The Postal workers where I was at before this month were all nice people, they delivered things right to the apartment door, were friendly and always smiled, and never stole anything. If you're nice to people like that, chances are you'll get your package as they will remember you.

Still sucks that these things have to happen to anyone, though.

speak of the F'ing devil..

Ill never send anything fedex.. dammit,

I got my pacman in the mail today from kieth snapped in half.
