My wife said something the other night that most of you can only dream about. We were watching TV, and she said she'd like to go to one of the pin/vid expo's to see a bunch of machines. So, I started looking into the Pennsylvania shows. Allentown has a show in November, but it is a bit too far away.
Then I saw something on KLOV that reminded me of the York show. It is in a few weeks. York is also very close to Hershey, PA. I think we will be planning a long weekend vacation to do both. Jimmy Rosen's Sled Works is also in that vicinity, and I have been wanting to see it since getting my first Gameroom Magazine.

Pretty cool huh?

Anyone else going to this show?

Yup...you got a keeper there :) Never been to the York show....I can say that the Baltimore/Timonium auction is on my radar, though.....

i'd normally be there, but it's the same damn weekend as vgXpo at the Philly Convention Center, and I'm helping with the coin-op area.

They seem to have a nice list of vids, but faced with a choice I'd rather see a huge room full of pinballs than a huge room of vids. I've never seen more than a handful of pinballs in one place. Can't say the same for vids.

Well...I've been to a local pinheads place that had 15 or so, but I won't count that because I didn't get to play them all.

I will be at the york show on Saturday. I was there last year and it was a blast!! I played some pin's for the first time (Haunted House, Scarred Stiff, etc). If you plan on going to Jimmy Rosen's Sled Works, let me know I've never been there either, and I'm not too far from there.

Jimmy will probably be at York, so I don't even know if the Penny arcade will be open. I think I might give the Sled Works a call and see what the plan is. I can't wait to show my wife the soda fountain. I bet that will be the highlight of our trip!

i am gonna go Friday.. though i wont be there much past 1 or 2 pm. its an hour and a half away, but i have to go to the philly airport for a in the evening (for vacation).

If you are going to a pin show you should go Saturday. A LOT of stuff isn't even set up yet on the Friday nights. Saturday is the day to be there. You'll miss a lot if you go Friday.

Hmmm...we might to Hershey on Friday then if it is open. It will all work out.

Mark is going to be there with his bro, and another pin club guy.

really? even though Thursday is set aside from 1pm to 8pm to set up? unfortunately i can only go for a few hours on friday - so it is either then or next year. Plus, i am trying to get a powersupply for my sharpshooter.

I'll be there on Sat. My brother and I usually go every year. I've been looking at the sledworks website, and am going to have to find the time for a visit.

Yeah Saturday is way better. Plus that's when they give away the free pin.

that is what is not clear on the website. It says everyone is eligible to win the pin.. to me, that would include all attendees on both days would be entered. what is not clear is if you need to be present to win.

Son of a...

I've gotten sick at the worst effing time. We've had to cancel the trip. Needless to say, not a happy camper...
Could've been worse though - my wife could have gotten sick. I couldn't help but resent her a bit if that had been the case.
