Yoke Resistance? How close does it have to be?

I usually swap the yoke, but am wondering if there time to be saved (Since I have to unsolder it cause there is no plug....

How close do they have to be

I'm swapping a 4600

with 2.5 Ohm and 8.2 Ohm yoke

Tv Yoke
3.2 Ohm and 12.4 Ohm

How close do they have to be? what happens picture is smaller or bigger? it blows up?

Yea..Likely picture will be smaller overall and the horizontal size is the size that will be a little too small..The vertical size will most likely be able to fill it's size by turning up the vertical size pot......

if you need a width cap kit i have hundreds in stock to allow you to adjust the picture size if you need to. they will be on my site in the next couple of days but if you need them now just PM me. the width cap kits are on the site now and here is a link to it and it has 12 caps and not 8 like other people's kits so you have more values to fine tune your picture size. https://www.arcadepartsandrepair.com/store/monitors/monitor-cap-kits/monitor-width-cap-kit/

I tried it with the TV yoke and it mostly worked the size was even pretty good. The top was slightly keystoned though -- so I'm gonna swap the yoke now and hopefully all will be good again.

At least I know for sure the badly burnt tube that only had blue was really all bad too -- new tube has all colors!

Thanks for the offer but I had just capped 4600 chassis - so I swapped the yoke and all is good now -- Picture looks great.
