I think they are probably close enough, but figured I would ask for a 2nd opinion. ;)

This is for a 14" Matsuhita monitor (Monaco GP mini).

Thanks,

You'll probably find the screen size will be too small.

???

I can only fit a 14" monitor into the cabinet - looking to do a tube swap and was just wondering if they are close enough without swapping the yoke. ;)

The original yoke I am getting reading of vert 12.6Ω and horiz 1.8Ω
replacement CRT yoke: vert 14.7Ω and horiz 3.0Ω

so... you just... swap the yoke. I did it about a month ago. it's really not that hard.

the rings however...

I would try it.

Those readings are not that far off. However, you most likely will have geometry issues or too small/large raster. I would try it first before swapping the yoke however as it might be OK.

When impedance is really far off it can damage the yoke or chassis. Inductance is also something that will change the response from the yoke but you probably do not have the tool to measure that.

I understand that. More resistance on the yoke means less voltage, hence less deflection which results in a smaller picture.

Sorry - didn't understand where you were coming from. ;)

All clear now - maybe I will just swap the yokes and not worry about it then...

Thanks for all the replies though. :D
