I've had the Yie Ar Kung Fu PCB sitting here for years.

I should probably do something with it!

Chances are, I won't find a real Yie Ar Kung Fu cab.

Any ideas what would be the easiest to convert?

Anyone have took photos of the marquee, CP and other artwork? I could try any replicate it.

Thanks!

I think Yie Ar Kung-Fu is considered a kit-only game. It has no dedicated cabinet.

And from the looks of the original flyers and so forth, the game was geared as a kit to upgrade Williams cabinets. Mine is in a Stargate cabinet, but I read on another thread someone suggested Moon Patrol since it has a one joystick, two-button setup.

You can probably find a usable cab without having to use a classic like a Williams, though.

Mine is in an old Defender cab that was converted to something else years ago and was empty when I bought it. The cab has jamma wiring and I use a Konami to Jamma adapter.

Put it in a horizontal Konami cab dated before the game came out. Track & Fields are everywhere and as cheap as chips.
Just my 2c. Gotta find some side art though, any sign of that around?

Actually I have a vector of the side art in black & white, from a scan of the manual and a photo for rough colour matching. Scans of the CPO and CP stickers, and a spare marquee. Maybe something the escape pod can help out with.

What did you do you about control panel? Just cut one from wood?

Sorry that was just me making a suggestion, I haven't done my Yie Ar cab yet. I have had some steel CPs reproduced locally for a T&F and a Circus Charlie cab too at $40 a piece without the hinges.

i would say most kit games that were hits in the 80's were put into williams defenders, stargates cabinets.
midway cabinets also like pacman,etc....

that is why i have my yie are kung fu in a defender cabinet. I just bought a panel this last year and it was from a defender cabinet.

I am also going to convert my chase hq in a defender cabinet back to a choplifter, which was also a popular one for defender cabinets.
