New member and poster. Just acquired an old Yie Ar Kung Fu machine and love the thing. Even broke it hauling it home and had a blast figuring some basics fixing the thing. So, I'm hooked, so to speak.

I've listed it on the VAPS register but don't know what to say about it being an original or conversion. I've heard some Konami games were only conversion, but I've also heard there were some dedicated machines made. If a game was conversion only, how should you list it? If they did make originals, I'm assuming this one is not, but I'm curious either way.

Thanks for your input!

Yie Ar Kung Fu was a kit specifically targeted for Williams cabinets. As terrible as it seems, that is the "correct" cabinet for the game.

Seen 'em in the crappy Stern Scramble cabs too..... Yie Ar is a great game that should have had its own dedicated cabinet and not relegated to being a kit only game.

Thanks everyone, that answers a lot of questions. So how would you recommend listing it? As an original (since it does appear to be in a Williams cab and as far as I can tell it's been a YAKF for a loooong time) or as a conversion, since that's what all YAKF technically are?

Thanks again. Nice little community you have here.
