Just picked these 2 up tonight about a hour away from my house. One is a world class bowling when you cut it on it plays blind and the tube looks like a light show and makes very loud hissing noise, this game will be my mame project. I also picked up this fully working Sega GP rider that has some scratches and such but should clean up nicely. Got these both for a total price of 100$. The place I picked it from also had a twin Indy 500 that played blind on each machine for another 50$, but I just dont have the room for it.

That is what happens when a monitor with a cracked tube neck is powered up. Your tube is toast. However, that means that the high voltage on the monitor boards works, so if you can find a replacement tube, you might have a working or at least repairable monitor. Not a big deal if you are going to drop in a computer monitor and MAME it. But anyway, that's what that horrific hissing noise and purple arcing in the neck are from. Saw that in a Matsushita monitor in a Pole Position once. Not a nice thing.

Looks like neither of the monitors on the GP Rider are getting power, not a sound is coming from them and one of the chassis looks brand new

Would love to get a GP rider ride on (stand up looks very sharp too). That game has great music. Was it working when you picked it up? Maybe something just got jarred loose on the ride home?

Is it weird that both monitors dont work? One chassis looks brand spanking new , has a sticker from 08 on it the other monitor is older but neither power up

Sounds like an AC issue. I'd follow the power all the down to the fuse that powers the monitors, or isolation transformers, whichever the case may be.

The one that's making the hissing noise, it's possible that one is a flyback problem, too. Doesn't have to be a cracked neck. Could be as simple as the anode fell out of the anode on the tube.

The neck tube is sparking and looks like a light show along with the noise

Got one monitor working on the gp rider tonight. turns out they both have bad chassis, because i put a new universal chassis on one of the tubes and i can now see game play and is pretty fun to play, i still have some adjustments to make, im going to buy another universal chassis for the other side soo.
