Ok, I have a sanyo 20ez monitor that i replaced the hot, IC601, the 2sd1090,cap kit, all the diodes through d601 to 604 tested good, r383 tests good, replaced c606, replaced b+ pot, reflowed the entire chassis. Non of the fuses are blown (brand new), the only thing i havnt done was replace the flyback yet, thought this flyback was good because it looks brand new and there are no cracks or ooze leaking out. For some reason it is stuck at 133.7v and the b+ pot isnt adjusting the voltage, ive lowered the brightness at vr351 and focus on the flyback, even the sub brightness pot and still in HV shutdown. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

sanyo

discharge the monitor and see if there is a pop, if there is, the fly back should be ok.

There's also a batch of bad IC601s on the market. Unfortunately, you never know what you're going to get. :(

Try replacing it with the old one.

the last Sanyo i worked on. the fuses never blew but it would fry the H.O.T.
every time you powered it on.

so no it sometimes will not blow the fuses.

well put the new flyback in and now in getting 132.7 volts, unadjustable...this is the only sanyo ive had problems with, all the others were an easy fix

as sugested did you put the old IC601 back in and try it.

that is the only thing that would not let you adjust your B+. as long as another part is not keeping it in HV shutdown.

so i put in a working known working flyback, a new HOT (because other HOT i bought had a short in it) and another IC601, and still cant adjust the B+.... went over all my solder joints again to make sure everything was good and it was. Im about ready to throw in the towel on this one, its the worst sanyo ive ever worked on. Unless anyone has a known working ic601 they wanna sell me so i can try that. I might have bought 2 bad IC601's in a row, thats the only conclusion i can come too

Hello, a shorted resistor could cause hv shutdown.these sanyo chassis can be a challenge, but dont give up, you'll feel like a million bucks when you see it light up.
