I bought this AN/URM-38 Navy audio level meter off ebay(months after the auction was over I inquired and the guy still had it).
I think it may be from the 1960's; I can't find any info on it thru Google.
Anyway, I thought it would be a cool addition to my emergency line booth, especially if I could figure out how to hook it up, and then of course see if it works.
It had 2 existing holes in the box, so I just used those to mount it with metal straps to the wood on the booth.
Anybody know anything about this meter? How do you hook it up? Does it need an external battery for a power source? Does it only measure sound from electronic devices, or will it pick up sounds from a room? I'm frustrated with the Google search, so if you fellas know anything please post....
