Yesterdays pickup....What do I do with it???

multi baby. sell the pcb wiring and marquee to somebody who really needs it, use that $$ twoards multi art and a pcb.

Ideally, converting back to t+f and resto would be ideal, i understand sometimes thats just not in the cards.

Yeah I am really, really steering towards a 60 in 1 setup for it. I think I may try to trade it as a shell for another cabinet though like a Dynamo or something of a different style.

Again,it was to cheap to pass up and I'd rather rescue a classic cabinet than let someone else buy it and destroy it in some shape or form. My concern was with the cabinet, not the game in it.

How are you "rescuing" a classic cabinet if you turn it into a multi-JAMMA or some such? The only rescue would be to make it either a TnF or Hypersports again. Otherwise you might as well paint it purple, stick Punchout in it, glue some boxing gloves to the top, and throw it on Ebay...

I actually like gunforce and would be happy to own one. I played it on the super nintendo all the time. is it a conversion only game?

BTW - I have no problem picking up a cheap game. Do it all the time when I don't need it.

BUT - I get them usually for one of three reasons:

A - it is a cabinet I need for a project I have planned (like the stripped and crappy Moon Patrol cab that I'm restoring back to original)

B - It has something I need that makes the price cheaper than the part (like a working monitor)

C - It is something broken that I can fix/prettify and resell later for profit

I just think it's funny you came here asking whether you should part it out, multi it, etc, then talked about how you "rescued" it to keep something bad from happening to it - maybe like someone else parting it out or multifying it?

I predict this is going to end with some name calling, a lot of hurt feelings and one HS/TnF cabinet that will eventually wish it was put out of its misery.

Couldn't you make more if you sold the parts in it and converted it back to Track and Field...

Wait a week and put it back up on CL claiming you "shopped it out" and ask 5 times as much as you paid for it.

Restore. Visiting Eugene,OR currently and was just at the Rogue Brewery and they had one surprisingly available to play. Threw a few quarters in it. Would want one.

Gunforce is not a bad game. Gunforce 2 is really good.

I would restore it back to what it should be and sell it if there's enough interest in a Track & Field in your area.

Trade the cab to DJDNS so you can get a generic cab worthy of 60n1'ing and he can restore the other back to T&F... I don't think it is too hot for him to have another project.

You know,I thought about him also. Does he really need one? I know he is looking for T&F sideart and a CPO

He was working on several Q*Bert projects at the same time not long ago. I don't think duplicates is much of an issue for him.

Coming to NY any time soon? ;) I'm looking for a T/F cab for my Hypersports project. It's already mostly painted black too. If I had the time, I'd shoot down and grab it with a stop at Mama's On the Half Shell on the way back.

Gunforce was a favorite of mine in my arcade days, I played it all of the time. As you may notice, including me there are at least two other people that would be happy to take the PCB off of your hands. I PM'd at response #3, so there is demand to keep it as is. It looks like a nice conversion. Unless you are hurting for room, start playing it, you may like it!

Pull the Gunforce PCB and art, sell it to someone in the thread, then sell the cabinet to someone that wants to do a T&F resto. Make a significant profit, and at the same time, make everyone happy, all with minimal effort.

I got a Track & Field yesterday. The cab was pretty hosed. I salvaged what I could. What did you end up doing with yours?
