Yesterday I picked up a Super Punch Out!!. It had been stored out side for some time but the cabinet is in ok shape. According to the owner it was working, but we know how that goes. The batteries on the board were corroded and the power cord is all frayed. Does anyone know if Nintendo board CHPI-02 is Super Punch Out or and easy way to identify if the board is a Super Punch Out?

If the board is a super punch out then the you will notice the addition of the daughter security board. Which is pretty much what stops regular punch owners from doing a rom swap to make regular punch out into Super.

These are NOT my pics BUT......you should be able to see the daughter board on the PCB. If it is missing, chances are its just a punch-out board.

You mentioned the plug is bad?? plugging it in no power up??

Krackerjack- Yes I did get it from Guy. He was willing to hold on to it until I got off work and sell it for his asking price even though others offered him more.

Sugar Ray - Yes, it does have the daughter card so Super Punch out it is. And the cord that plugs into the wall is so bad that all wires inside are all frayed. I am not plugging that game in until I replace the power cord.
