Had a good game run on Saturday. Picked up this Dragons lair, it was converted to World Series baseball. It works. I will be looking for DL parts now. Looks like they left the score board pcb in the machine. Not sure what else is original.

Game #2 was a Wizard of War. Cab was totally dead. Fixed the blown fuse, and got her to play blind. I used my Monitor Extension Cables that I got from Dokert to hook the Wizard of war up to the Dragons lair monitor. Minutes later I had it up on the Monitor. Plays perfect. Just need to fix the Wizards of war monitor now. Going on another game run today for another great classic.

The Wizards of War is in really pretty good shape. Nice score.

It looks to me like you still have the Dragon's Lair power supply in there on the left hand side. Probably the original monitor too. I don't quite understand why I have see so many Dragon's Lair converted to World Series. It seems like I have seen a ton over the years. Maybe it was a specific kit that worked really well in that cab.....

Since nobody else has brought it up, you do realize that the marquee section of the Dragon's Lair cabinet was cut away, so that a traditional "flat" marquee would fit? It's not something that you "Can't" re-create with some woodworking skills, but definitely something to think about. I suppose that you COULD have a custom flat Dragon's Lair marquee made that would fit the cabinet. Lord knows high resolution artwork for such a thing wouldn't be TOO hard to come by. Looks like the speakers and other original stuff is still inside. Good luck on your resto!

I also noticed the cut out section of the marquee area. Finding a working Laser Disc player will probably be a bigger problem. I also noticed that the NTSC to RGB converter seems to have been removed from the monitor (or a different monitor was installed). That may also be difficult to locate. Sounds like a big project alright. The Wizard of Wor looks really nice though. Great pickup.

Is it accually cut away? Or is it just missing the brackets? I have found a set of brackets. Does someone have a picture of what that piece of wood should look like.

I think I will use one of these converters. I can use many different disc players with this. There are tons of players on ebay that will work with this. Has anyone here used one?

Yes, it was cut flush. Typically done to ease a conversion. I don't think it is too difficult of a fix. You will need to cut two new boards to replace. If you have the brackets, it should be easy to cut new ones. Use the brackets to get the correct angle cuts. Here is the first one I could find (different game, same cab):

I have seen this repair done multiple times.
