Ok, so neither are a Cinematronics Sundance but they got to be a close second! :)

My latest score out of South Dakota this time are a Cinematronics Tailgunner and Solar Quest. As you can see they are in very nice shape.

With my love for Cinematronics vectors and all the interest on the forum for Cinematronics I jumped on the opportunity to grab these when they became available.

Glad I did because you don't see Tailgunner's come up for sale very often. ;)

Sweet! That tailgunner looks like it is in great shape indeed. Plus, it's a pretty fun game. What do you plan on doing about the joystick?

Nice pickups, I'd love to have either of those.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be like that (no knob or ball on top, and non-centering), but I could be wrong...

It looks like a spring loaded flipper. I would think it should have a little plastic knob on top though.

Tailgunner is an amazing game. I remember pumping about $20 into it in an arcade in Chicago. It was the sitdown version though. When I went back the next week it had a "battle damage" sign on it. The following week it was gone :(. I never found another one to play.

Nice, I've got 2 solar quests. My plan is to get them both restored and working and sell one eventually. your control panel is in better shape than both of mine. I am sure there are no places that will make a couple of cpo's for this either... Also I just broke the bezel to my 2nd one by forgetting the mirror and plexi on top of the truck. That will be a tough piece to find.

I am taking it for granted that since you didn't state that either one worked that they are both dead like a typical cine game that has been in storage.

Tailgunners are tough to find. I think the uprights are even more rare. I have only seen/played a sitdown one at a friends house when I picked up my bubbles.

LOVE Tail Gunner! I'm jealous.
By the way, someone made Tail Gunner for GBA http://genergabasa.php0h.com/ (Click the GBA link on his site) Unfortunately it plays too slow to be usable so I'm hoping the guy makes some fixes.
But what I can't figure out is why no one has made Tail Gunner yet for the Vectrex. That seems like such a perfect fit!

I dont' know much about the Tailgunner but I'm a huge fan of Solar Quest. I've only played it on MAME but really enjoy the play of the game but I'm a huge fan of all Asteroid like games. Congrats on your find. I've looked into trying to purchase a Solar Quest and I had zero luck. If anyone is interested in selling one, send me a PM.
