Yes! Another chuck E Cheese brawl makes national headlines

Some serious class "A" individuals there. Step dad PUNCHES a GIRL? He then KICKS her while she hides under a table? This waste of human space Juanika is PREGNANT with her 2nd child and gets in to this fight? She's 18 years old and has a 2 year old boy meaning she got pregnant at 15. Mom and Boyfriend get arrested for having HERB at Chuck E Cheese as well as other offenses... Oh yeah... we're talking serious HIGH CLASS people...

"Key's stepfather, Terrence Dickerson, responded by punching the girl in the face"

I can't even come up with words to describe how funny that is.

I don't find it funny at all. I find it disturbing. That bastard needs to be taken out to the woodshed and beaten...badly.

I don't blame these folks for bringing in some herbs to flavor up their pizza a bit.

I was a toker going WAAAAY back... but man, you're going to your 2 year old sons birthday party at Chuck E Cheeses... leave the green at home for crying out loud.

nope, can't say that I do.

But why is it when I hear that name I immediately think if Jerry Springer? :)

Because of population densities in the PNW, I'd guess. I have never watched Jerry Springer so I can't really comment.

I wasn't able to access the AOL page but I was able to go to a local (to the fight) news source. That area was a bad place when I was a kid, I am more surprised that there is a CEC in that neighborhood than I am about the fight in that neighborhood...

If any of you lived in Memphis, you'd understand that it's just another day in Memphis. I've lived here 2 years and am still blown away by the craziness, usually on a daily basis.

Only two years? Where did you move from?

I grew up in Memphis, the Raleigh/Bartlett area. I still have family in a few places including Olive Branch. This was common even twenty years ago but it was at least isolated when I was a kid. Now it seems to be in every neighborhood of the city and surrounding areas...

I moved from Winston-Salem, NC. I lived in Memphis for two years until we moved last summer to Olive Branch.

Wow. Sounds like a real shithole.

Dude, if you only knew. Depending on what survey you believe, we're the 2nd -4th most violent city in America. The state is considering taking over some of our schools. The politics are so corrupt, even by DC standards. The ex-mayor, now running for state rep., is an outright racist. Below is a quote from Wikipedia on him.

In recent times, Herenton has faced mounting criticism from citizens and other observers, who have charged that he has done the following:

Failed to ensure sound fiscal management of the City of Memphis [13]
Fraud allegations involving national money for the building of the FedEx Forum [14]
Failed to communicate effectively with the City Council [15]
Failed to address multiple allegations of improprieties regarding Memphis Light Gas and Water [15]
Served as the prime target and catalyst for the City Charter rewrite [16]
Angered citizens to the point of becoming a target of a (failed) citizen recall effort [17]
Proposed raising property taxes by 17% while taxes on his personal home were delinquent.
Called for a halt to early voting due to alleged "irregularities". The Shelby County Election Commission stated that early voting would continue.[18],
Benefited personally from the rezoning of the Greyhound bus terminal property;
Done little in response to the significant rise in crime under his leadership; he stated that "No mayor in any American City can solve the crime problem."[19]
Appointed new leadership of the Memphis Public Library over the objections of the Tennessee Library Association.[20]
Failed to address criticism in the way that cases and staffing were being handled by the Memphis Sexual Assault Resource Center, and caused a racially-charged argument in the council meeting where he accused the city councilman of being a racist. "

Our car got broken into & my daughter's DS stolen in the parking lot of Chuck E Cheese. I'm not sure if this is the same location or not.

We went into a Chuck E cheese here a couple of years ago and turned around and walked it. It was that scary. I'm guessing this is the same location.

It's really sickening. I moved here for my job and if I lose it, I'm out of here. It just gets worse & worse.

Woah. I'd be outta there like shit thru a goose! Well, how's the weather there?

I would, but it's a really good job and is good for my career.

I'm so tired of rain. Not a week goes by that we don't get AT LEAST two days of rain. It's been really cold too. Not as bad as some places but it still sucks. It's really dragged out me building my gameroom.

The weather is OK most of the year. Snow most winters, though not enough to keep kids out of school more than a couple of days and summer heat into the upper 90s. The only thing I miss about the weather is thunderstorms.

Winston-Salem is much better than Memphis but, in my opinion, it can't hold a candle to Portland, Tacoma, or Seattle. There is a different philosophy towards life and the rights of others that would be considered weakness in the south...

That's cause the south sucks. I want to go north so bad but can't ever seem to get there. One day though.....
