I'm thinking SMB in one side and Duck Hunt in the other. NES combo cartridge be damned! I want to shoot that f**king dog!
I have never seen a co-op dual system until I put one together myself. Never saw VS. Baseball or Tennis. One of my machines was an Excitebike/Mach Rider that had a gun leftover from Hogan's Alley still attached. Another machine was an Excitebike/SMB.
So for a while I did run a Duck Hunt/SMB combo. When I was ready to put in co-op Balloon Fight, everything changed. I pulled SMB and DuckHunt and put them into their own Unisystem cabs. After all this, I think I've nailed down a good configuration.
- I don't like SMB in the dualsystem, the smoked bezel takes away too much from the SMB look.
- I don't like light gun games in unisystem cabs because the horizontal monitor is mounted to low and too far away from the bezel. The dualsystem monitor is mounted straight up, right up close to the Bezel
- I wanted (1) Balloon Fight Dualsystem and (1) Wrecking Crew Dualsystem. However, with my issue with light gun games in the unisystem I decided to embark on my current configuration. If I ever want to have Wrecking Crew I will have a seperate PCB in the Balloon Fight cabinet or maybe even get a red tent.
So, I will have one SMB unisystem, one Balloon Fight co-op DS, one Duck Hunt/Hogan's Alley DS, and one empty unisystem cab which I hope to put Donkey Kong in.
The next question is what color I paint them all. I really can't make up my mind.
