Just picked up my first pinball (Comet) a few weeks ago and Novus'd/waxed the playfield, put a new shooter spring in and ordered a ton more crap for it.
Anyway, I read on IPDB before I bought it and there's a post from some guy crabbing about how the "million point shot hasn't worn well over the years". No idea why his comment stuck in my head.
Well, I just hit the million point shot tonight after about 15 hrs of playing since getting it and started yelling like a moron. The machine freaked out, the kids ran over and jumped around screaming and high fived me. It was total awesomeness.
That doof who complained about that shot has lost the magic. Dammit, I think I might be in the "used to buy arcades now I'm into pinball" club.
