I finally got a time pilot after 12 years. On CL today in Portland for $150.00. Working and in decent shape too! Side art is on both sides and while it is scratched and all, it is complete. I am going to get a new CPO and repaint some brackets, but in all it is awesome. Kids are already playing it and love it more than galaga and galaxian. On the play-o-meter it shows 16,XXX coins through the shoot. Happy to have got this and in this neck of the woods at a decent price too!

I played TONS of Time Pilot as a kid. Great game, a must have if you have space to spare. Congrats!

nice pickup. i really like my TP, totally worth the $200 i got it for. and if you can find a nice, dedicated cab in the NW (well, west of the Cascades) for under $200 for nearly any game you're doing well.

Nice! My buddy and I just got one a couple of months ago in the Denver, CO area. Great working condition(need to get a new marquee though) and with the monitor in excellent condition. Got it for $200.

Nice. To me, this is one of the most consistently under-valued games. I never get tired of it.

Thanks for the words guys! I was shocked to see it on CL and also so low. I always enjoyed playing this and could never get this away from my buddy when he had one. I had to have this and I know since the kids love it I got an amazing game for an even more amazing price. So far I am doing great on CL:
Galaga $100. $76 worth of quarters inside = $24
Time Pilot - $150 Dedicated and working

Hellz yeah! Congrats!

I wanted a Time Pilot Cabaret one year at the pinball expo from Super Auctions (Super Rip Off more like it) It did not sell, got bid up and it needed a lot. Lots of cabinet damage, joy stick rebuild, monitor issues and so on. What a joke!

I'd venture to say that's one incredibly rare machine, if it was dedicated.

I hate you people with nice front panel art! Nice score!!!

I snagged one from work a few weeks ago, should be bringing it home shortly.

REALLY looking forward to it as I have a fair number of Konami 36 pin games that are vertical and that cabinet is going to be my swap cabinet for the most part. I thought about drilling extra holes in the CP for TimePilot'84... but I just can't talk myself into it since it's in such good shape (and the P2 Start button will work fine for missiles anyways).

Good find and great price! Welcome to the club, I guess. :)

Great working condition(need to get a new marquee though)

I wish someone would repro Time Pilot marquees (as well as Gyruss). For some reason, they flake more than any other game I've ever seen.

Get in touch with Matt Osborn and pick up one of his high score saves for TP'84. He integrated a way to use the P2 button as the missle button so you won't have to hack up your panel.

I've always liked the game too. My local friend got one for next to nothing years ago and it has been a really solid game for him, it's never given him a bit of electrical trouble. Come to think of it, time for me to give him a call and ask if I could play it tonight :) Time Pilot rocks!!!!

Yeah, saw his page about it. I'm going that route.

Shame his site was hacked by Iranians. lol

Do we need another reason to hate Iranians? :D
My new web host keeps getting hit by them....
There's no real content on that host yet anyway (haven't had time to rebuild my site). It just redirects to here:

http://osborn.tech.officelive.com (hosted by Microsoft)

where I have backups of the important stuff.

Yesterday I wrote a version of the input hack for rev 2 Time Pilot '84 boards (which seem to be popping up with more frequency lately). I posted about it in this thread:

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=147188

Haven't written the high score save for the rev 2 board yet.... It will require additional soldering, as the ROM for the slave CPU is not socketed as it is on the rev 1 boards.
