I'm working on a Galaga/pac cocktail project and I finding it a bit of a pain to find a Pacman/Galaga reunion board. They are a bit pricey and don't pop up too often.

I would just get a 60-in-1, or other variation, but I've found issues with a lot of them I've played in various arcades.

Some seem to play Galaga with lag, some won't let you insert additional coins to continue and various other issues I've heard of.

Are there particular brands of multi game cards that are particularly good? I kind of wanted to get the true Pacman/Galaga board as they are the main games the GF and I will want to play and I'd like them to be perfect. There aren't a lot of other vertical monitor games that just use a 4-way and one button that I really want to play anyways so I didn't really feel like I was missing out.

Thoughts on the official Galaga/Pac reunion boards, they seem to be great save for the rarity. or suggestions on really rock solid multigame boards.

on the 60in1 you can turn on continues in the dip switch settings but im not sure how that actually works seeing as the board reverts to the home screen.

on that note the 60in1 has a lot of issues, but overal not a bad investment since its only 100ish$

but also with the whole 4 way and 1 button, theres a bunch, galaxian, many versions of pac slow and fast, dk, dk jr with issues on the key stage, and dk3, burgertime, frogger with some issues. but overal playable.,

Galaga, Ms Pac-Man, and Pac-Man - the games on the reunion board - aren't supposed to have continues anyway, so the 60-in-1 will work fine. You can even turn off the other 57 games (5 are repeats) and just have those three if you wish.

I've played these all the time and never see lags like you describe. Sounds like they were made with crappy controls. I've seen buttons that work, but not as snappy as they should, and joysticks that were cheap that didn't respond properly.

And as for those who like to say they have "lots of issues" - 99% of people will never notice that the sound on Bombjack or Donkey Kong isn't exactly the same as the original - unless there is one right next to it.

Plus - with 60-in-1 B's now listed at $45 + shipping (about $32 for one board), you could get 4 or 5 for the same price as a Reunion board...

There is something to be said about having the proper parts in the right machine.

I love my 3 in 1. I like being able to continue a galaga game and see the stages I haven't seen before.

The only gripe I have about the xx in x is the front end. I'd love to see them do something like hyperspin with it. Don't get me wrong I think they are nice. I actually just like the reunion machines.

who has this for $45?
thanks.

On the 60 in 1,if continues are turned on,once game has ended and returned to the menu, simply insert a credit and select that same game again. It will begin where it left off and you can continue.

Please do tell how is selling the 60-in-1 for $45.

I replied to the post last week for them shipped at $75 but I have not heard anything since.

Yes the 60 in 1 is a good deal but the front end looks like a PC. Pacman games require a very good stick as there can be a lag in controls. It was much worse in older versions of the board. An original pac stick or on of the new reunion sticks is recommended.

If you have a bit more to spend get Clay's board as the controls/sound are much better but it is going to cost you $300 but is upgradable via SD card and the menu looks commercial.

The Galaga/Pac-Man/Ms Pac reunion boards allow continues because Namco modified the code to allow it when they did the boards. The 60-in-1's only allow continues on games that originally had it (so Galaga and the Pac games don't have that feature)

I have a 60 in 1 with a reunion stick and I can feel a little lag. Just a little.

Seriously it's the worst kept secret on the boards.

The smaller 60:1 sometimes has issues so check the boards. I hear the fail rate is like 1 out of 50 or so.

If anyone wants a pacman party board set I have one I can sell off.

I've had plenty shipped from Excellentnet.com to me in the past.

Looking at my past orders...

2 xx-in-1 boards - $36 shipping
3 xx-in-1 boards - $43 shipping

then a second order of 3 xx-in-1 boards - $36 shipping (?!)

Also take in to consideration THERE IS A CHARGE when converting from USD to Hong Kong funds...
