Xmen 4 player parts - Whats it worth?

100 would be cheap.

Man, just buy the thing if you want it and don't if you don't. You don't have to ask everybody's opinion on a matter of a a few bucks, it's a great game, fun, and the parts you're looking at are in good shape. If you pay $150 and somebody else only thinks it's worth $100 who cares? It's what it's worth to you, not what it's worth to somebody else.

Just on the fence about it... your point is taken. Trying to get a little encouragement to do the project is all... I think you just gave me the encouragement I need. Thanks!

$100 bucks is great! I've seen the WICO sticks sell for $25 each before. So to get the complete panel and pcb for $100 is a steal.

I went to check it out... and the control panel is in mint condition. He put the PCB in a simpsons cab worked and sounded fine no static sound. I check the sound chip and it looks pretty clean around the caps. He also had the marquee he gave me! Couldnt resist for 100 bucks... now to find a cab!

You underpaid greatly. Excellent.

I dropped the PCB in my lethal enforcers just to check it out again... of course I cant play it but I can look :)

Anyone know if I should be able to use the sound through the Lethal Enforcers game to hear it play? When I bought it the sound worked great in the Simpsons cab... I tried plugging it into the LE cab and got muffled sound. Video was great...

Should I be able to hear sound? I may have just attached the speaker connector the wrong way?

Just curious as I may attempt to cap the sound while its in good working order and wanted to be able to test it.

Thanks!

If your Xmen is set to stereo then sound may not come out of the MONO LE speaker via the JAMMA connector.

If you have an Xmen PCB, the first thing I would do is wash and scrub the HSC with alcohol and an old toothbrush. You should work the edges around each cap and clean that up.

No matter what, you should cap that chip or send it out to have it capped. All of these caps are leaking to some degree, and sound will go out eventually

Cap it yourself, find a friend or have someone with experience service it. I sell kits, and host documentation.
My doc on these chips https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...uthkey=CNKztTs

The OP sent the mentioned board to me for service. Even this fully working sound one tonight had loads of electrolyte damage. It was eating the traces and 2 broke while I decapped the chip. I had to patch it when I capped it.

Thank you for capping my board!

Do you like how I got caps that matched the same batch? The bucket I pull them from at the store has like 6+ different batches for the same cap rating. You have to sort them to get all of the large caps to look the same. LOL

Yeah man your work is phenomenal! I am so glad I sent you the board when I did!

To anyone out there looking to preserve your xmen, Lethal Enforcers, etc boards this guy does top notch work... has great communication and is very prompt with answering any questions you may have!!!
