the orig game had a XM701, i installed a working XM701 powered up game neck glow was bright(seem brighter then normal) then the 2 fuse's blew and i replaced both fuse's, again fuse's blew, so are the 2 chassis's interchangeable? i am thinking the orig person installed the wrong chassis... game name is Shuffleboard by Midway

i understand they are different, but as i heard the molex connector to monitor off main harness can accommodate different manufacture chassis's

The entire monitor is interchangeable....Say you have a bad "M" series in a Atari Football.....you pull it....and toss in a good working "XM" series. No problems.....In fact, most raster black & white monitors are interchangeable (within reasoning).

I thought you were talking about sticking a "M" chassis under an "XM" tube/yoke. That will not work. You'd have to change the yokes....they are very different. The chassis mounting to the actual "pan" is (also) quite different. You'd have to cobble the "M" chassis to the XM's framework.
