I did a capkit on my Stunt Cycle monitor last night, and I somehow killed the vertical deflection.

It looks like Q10-Q13 are the transistors involved. I cross referenced them, and here is what I have so far:

Q10: 2n4403 - Available locally
Q11: 2n4400 - NTE123AP - Available locally
Q12: 2n4400 - NTE123AP - Available locally
Q13: 2n5151 - Possible cross ref - MJ3029 - haven't found a source

Is there anything else that I should check on this? I want to try to buy any part that I might need. I need to get this working again before CAX.

Thanks

I have in my notes, that NTE283 will work as a replacement for the 2n5151 or MJ3029. I'm pretty sure I used the NTE283 when I rebuilt the XM701 in my Sprint.

Thank You! I will go try to hunt one down before the store closes.

When I went there at lunch, he said the NTE123AP is cross referenced with the 2n4403 as well. Does that sound right?

Thanks,
Paul

Turns out that I am really careless at 1am at times. I took the chassis back out, and found that I forgot to clip the legs off one of the caps. After clipping them, the vertical deflection circuit came back to life. I will post the cross references here so it will be easy for someone to find in a search. Keep in mind that I didn't end up replacing these parts, so I am not sure if they work correctly, but it should be a good place to start. Q10-Q12 all cross referenced NTE159, I didn't check the datasheets to verify, so you may want to before replacing Q10 with it. Hopefully this helps someone. When searching on this, there were a lot of threads that died before any info was actually given.

Sorry Paul,

But I have to suspend your repair license for 30 days.

Andrew
