I just recapped this XM501 using Bob Roberts kit in an Atari Football game. The cap kit helped very little to clear up the issues that were present before changing the nine caps.

Issues:
* It takes about 3 minutes for the monitor to sync up with the video on a cold start up.

* The top corners of the picture are cut off as shown above. The picture isn't sized past the edge of the tube.

Anyone have experience with this monitor and these issues?

It looks curved there at the cutoffs, usually indicating the yoke has slid back on the neck a bit....
 
I'll check on the yoke and look into ordering some more caps.
