I think there's only a hand full of caps for this. Does anyone have a cap kit list for the xm700? As I understand there are a couple different caps from the 700 and 701.....

Thanks!

Got around to pulling the monitor pcb today and I found 7 of the typical caps that should probably make up this cap kit on the board. They all look to be the original caps from 1974 so they should defiantly all be replaced.

C1 - 50uf/50v
C2 - 50uf/50v
C4 - 50uf/50V
C6 - 470uf/16V
C24 - 150uf/10V
C36 - 100uf/65V
and one with no number on the bottom side of the board - 470uf/25V

All were in stock at mouser.

I've been told that when you have no picture on this black and white monitor that it is either one of the few caps on the board, or one of the 4 transistors (Q1-4) that usually cause this issue. I've got neck glow, and sound, just no picture at the moment.

Caps are ordered and I'll update on any change when they are installed in a few days.

This monitor happens to be in a 1974 Atari Gran Trak 10. The pcb was already dialed in by Andy's Arcade. Should be a fun one!

You should replace the big can cap that has multiple values on it as well. If the chassis is similar to 701/501 you should have two big can caps on the chassis frame. One is just a single value and it is used for 5v regulation which is not used by your game so you can leave this as it is. The other one is a multi-value cap with 3 or 4 caps "built" into one. I bet security001 can hook you up with the necessary replacements for this one (you'd be replacing the multicap with 3-4 single caps). If I remember correctly, on a XM701/501 this multicap is labelled C43 (or C43A, C43B, C43C when referenced individually).

you are absolutely correct. yes i do have the kits for the 3 and 4 cap cans.

Timely. I just asked security2001 about a kit for the quad-cap filter for an xm-501 two days ago. He got the kit put together and ready to order within 24 hours. It should be on the website now.
